Beautiful state park! We stayed in Twin Valley 2 area of the campground and our site was large, wooded and private. Lots of great hiking trails. The beach area is very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to come back in the fall and enjoy the beautiful fall colors and tour the House on the Rock.
Beautiful campground with nice pool and clubhouse. The bathrooms were very clean. However, most of the sites are owned, so there are not too many left for the weekend camper to choose from. I will add though that the owned sites are very nice. The lot owners we met were friendly and it looks like they take pride in their sites. The Sugar River was great for canoeing.
One of my favorite state parks! The park takes reservations for a limited number of sites and the rest are first come. The campground map on the website has pictures of most sites when you click on the site number. So it is nice to be able to "see" the site when making reservations. Nice lake and some good hiking trails in the state park. Lots of deer and wildlife to enjoy too. Close to my home, so we camp here quite often and have always enjoyed our stay.
